Our Story
The story of Ace of Hardwoods began in 1956 when my grandfather first picked up a floor sander in Seattle. What started as a single-man operation has grown into a three-generation family business, each generation building upon the last's expertise and dedication to quality craftsmanship.
My father joined the business in 1985, bringing fresh perspectives while honoring the traditional techniques that made our reputation. He expanded our services and introduced modern finishing methods that set new standards in the Pacific Northwest hardwood flooring industry.
When I started working alongside my father in 2011, I knew I was continuing something special. Every technique I learned, every floor I worked on, connected me to decades of family knowledge. Today, I carry forward that legacy while embracing innovations in sustainable materials and eco-friendly finishing processes.

Meet Ashton
As a third-generation hardwood floor specialist, I grew up surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of woodworking. What started as helping my father on weekends turned into a lifelong passion for the craft.
I officially joined the family business in 2011, and since then, I've had the privilege of working on hundreds of homes across the Greater Seattle area. From historic farmhouses in Snoqualmie to modern residences in Bellevue, each project teaches me something new.
What I love most about this work is the transformation—taking tired, worn floors and bringing them back to life, or installing beautiful new hardwood that will serve families for generations to come. It's not just about the technical skill; it's about understanding that these floors are where life happens.
